This phenomenon occurs from time to time, but this time it's special... it occurs during de shortest day of the year. In term of duration and visibility, it will be similar to the total moon eclipse of February 2008.

A redish brown moon to observe for the holiday season... what a great thing to observe if you don't expect snow of course.

If you look at the numbers, this particular eclipse will occurs december 21, 2010... which is 12-21-2010... and we can see the two 0s as a symbol for the eclipse phenomena. So, it's a very special day, a very special thing to observe.
