After successfully fulfilling his mission in Red Raid: The Sinking, the last we saw to Redrick was that a parasite also got into his rescue helicopter. The parasite infected Redrick and has now arrived on Mars in his body to infiltrate the base and capture it for own purposes. This is the third Redrick game, a series that tells a long story, and just as the previous games this one also comes in two separate parts.

We start with seeing the parasite leaving Redrick, and in the first part you control the parasite that wants to take over the base om Mars. You have to sneak around in tunnels and caves and make surprise attacks on the soldiers. You have to drop down on top of the head of them to infect them, once you do this you control the soldier, and when you leave him again he will die.

You have to operate computers to open doors, activate bridges, make inaccessible areas accessible, and make a route to the exit door when you control the soldiers. One soldier can not get everywhere on the screen, so you have to infect several, if not all, to complete the levels.

You have to use stealth and sneak into the soldiers to infect them, if they spot you they will open fire and run, and as they will die once you have infected them and leaves them again you have to make sure you have done what you were supposed to with the infected soldiers.

As you proceed you will get new abilities:

Brain Control - Allows you to take over the controls of the enemies
Mitosis - Split the parasite in two and switch between the parts
Spitting - Spit acid for destroying enemies and walls
Symbiosis - The ability to create symbiote on human embryo

You need to use the Mitosis ability at places where one of the parts have to keep holding down a switch to open a door the other part can enter.

The aim of the game in this part is to collect a certain amount of the yellow genetics that is spread all around. You need these to create symbiote on the final level.

Once the base is captured and the first part is completed we return to Redrick. It turns out he survived the parasite infection and made his way to a medikit. Being more than pissed over what has happened Redrick now takes up the fight with the parasites.

While the first part was the stealth part, this one is the action part. You can select between gun and grenades, and there is plenty of extras to pick up on your way, so don't hold your fire, but be aware that you can kill yourself with the grenades.

Compared to the other parts with Redrick this one is insanely detailed, some of the levels is totally packed with all kind of stuff, and besides being a shoot-everything-that-moves game there is also puzzles to solve (just like in the previous games).

The game can be played on Easy, Normal, Hard, and when playing on Normal and Hard you have to kill all enemies.

Great variety in the parts here and the first one with the parasite is a really great idea, use stealth to sneak into soldiers and carefully consider which of your abilities to use. Nice colorful highly detailed graphics and lots of stuff to figure out in this huge two parts game!
