598Recently, thanks to Reddit, the purchase of stock in Gamestop (GME) has become a crusade of the "every-day person".
Unfortunately this has been met with opposition from large hedge funds that are trying to, at all costs, dissuade the retail investing public from putting their money into stocks like Gamestop, Nokia, AMC, and others.
To further the issue at hand, brokerages like Robinhood have come under extreme scrutiny after halting stock purchases of these stocks and then allowing for only limited purchases of them, ultimately only allowing people to buy a single share.
This video explains, from the ground up, what is going on in the stock market and why capital management firms that have shorted these stocks and others are in such hot water.
