0The island town of Redfall is at first secretly infiltrated by a group of vampires, but it quickly becomes a full-scale invasion as the vampires begin devouring the people of Redfall openly in the streets. Some of the townspeople include four vampire hunters who attempt to escape the town by boat, the vampires cast a magical spell that erects an impassable wall of water around the island, trapping Redfall's surviving population. The vampire hunters return to the town and liberate the local fire station, turning it into their headquarters and a safe haven for survivors. They then begin venturing out into the town to kill vampires, fight the human cultists who worship them, as well as discover the source of the vampires.
