I don't think I have ever played a game that has made me ask "why?" more often than this one, especially in terms of game design. Not even in the massive backtracking, that's just bad level design that plenty of games, even good games, sometimes find themselves doing. Not even in the game not really filtering you to what parts of the level in what order. Heck, that's almost forgivable, given how many 90's FPS games did that kind of thing. No, the decisions come from things like "Why is this game broken into chapters if you're just going to play straight through both anyway with no indication that you're on the second chapter?" And "why is this game glitching out so badly that part of the level is now underground and crushes me if I try to pick up this power up?" Seriously, that happens. There's SOMETHING in this game in particular that causes the engine to just freak out, render things improperly, fail at hit boxes, and just make a mess of things. I don't know what causes it.
