7You know, it's not even Ixion's infamous jump, or its hairpin that bother me anymore. It's the stupid rotating arms on the forge(?). I'm not sure if they move in a predictable manner yet, but they've ended more fantastic laps than I care to count.
This is a high durability, high thrust, mid speed and low everything else build for Behemoth and it works quite well. The lack of stability was a strategic choice, letting it scrub off even more speed in the corners which jump out at you. This is further aided by most of Ixion's corners being banked in some way or another - pay very close attention to your pitch as you could be losing a lot of time in those parts.
There is also a LOT of hyperboost cancels here, to ensure correct boost timings throughout the lap. The last one is the hardest as you've got to cancel it ASAP, whilst pitching up, whilst still normal boosting, whilst still trying to land without crashing AND get the speed bonus from landing. That and one very obvious other mistake in the lap are the only things stopping this lap from becoming better.
