We have hit the end of 2019, and just before I take a break through to the New Year (I imagine I'll spend most of it sleeping), I wanted to do one more video, to take a look back at the year that was. Many people found 2019 to be a bit of a disappointment in terms of big releases and those truly astounding games, but if you ask me, with a bit of digging into Japanese games and indie gems, it was one of the best years ever.

In this video I share footage from some of my favourite games of the year, and talk about some of the releases that impressed me the most across my four favourite genres: JRPG, strategy, visual novel and fighting game.

What were your highlights of the year? Be sure to let me know in the comments, and most importantly of all, have a lovely Christmas and New Years! However you celebrate it, I hope it offers you a good rest and good times.

I'll see you all in 2020! In the meantime, keep checking DDNet, as we have some neat features rolling through the break :-).
