In this universe, charlie died when the millitary blew up the door to the room her and bumblebee were hiding in, killing her. When bumblebee saw what happened, he felt rage aginst the people who killed her, not only that, he felt as if no one cared for her, and no one cared for him.
Soon he attacked the people who killed charlie, then went after Dropkick and Shatter. They saw an opportunity to recruit bumblebee, by saying that they never wanted to kill anyone, they only seek to save cybertron.
This caused bumblebee to question the war, optimus, what he was fighting for.
Shatter promised no one else had to die, she promised Bumblebee if the decepticons won, everyone can live.

And so bumblebee became a deception, hunting down autobots and humans.
