I have been wanting to learn how to use the 3D modelling and animating software Blender for the better part of a decade, but have always struggled with finding a good project to help me get into the program. Inspired by the recent indie game trend of "demaking" games to fit a retro PS1/N64-style 3D aesthetic, I decided to try my own hand at demaking a cutscene from an old 2002 Lego Flash game as a suitable project for getting into learning Blender.

This ended up being one of the silliest and most time-consuming projects I've ever worked on, as I stumbled headlong into learning 3D modelling and animation with basically zero prior experience, but after months and months of working on it I am actually very proud of the little 60-second animation I was able to make, and I hope you enjoy it too!
