Philips CDi was born due to a partnership with Nintendo. Nintendo originally was going to partner with Sony to created the SNES Cd, but when Nintendo re-read the fine print with their deal with Sony and found out the deal wasn't going to be good for them Nintendo decided to partner secretly with Philips. Sony was even shocked when Nintendo never told them. So, in actuality if Sony did partner with Nintendo became a reality then the Playstation console and Philips Cdi would never exist! #PhilipsCDi #CDi #Shorts
