Remembering Atari: Have You Played Atari Today?
Tonight we are taking a look back at the Atari Video Games that I first played as a kid back in 1977. Have You Played Atari Today?
Released on September 11, 1977, the Atari 2600, branded as the Atari Video Computer System was developed and produced by Atari, Inc.
Fun Fact: The late Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak developed a game called Breakout for Atari. Yes, it is true, the founder of Apple worked for Atari and since he wasn't a programmer himself, took help from his dear friend and co-founder of Apple, Steve “Woz” Wozniak.
Atari got the ball rolling for the world of gaming, as we know it today. I was one of the fortunate few who witnessed the birth of the arcades and the home consoles in their original form.
