Another of the toughest bosses in the game - Venom has a lot of weird attack timings to catch you out. The AOE on his slam has a delay as it grows outwards, and the followup AOE spawns are pretty unpredictable, though do show up visually before they start to do damage, so I prefer to roll towards the slam, then watch for the orbs. The shield he throws up to block his weakspot is pretty annoying too, though you can get under it to shoot him - just be careful as he'll usually do a stomp when you get that close.
