Unfortunately, with the PS4 update 214808, Nightmare's health was doubled but with lower threshold to break open and deal more damage to it. This did not help on Nightmare Difficulty as I did not have enough firepower or certain mods to deal enough damage for the boss to open up.

Once you defeat Dreamer and moving on to Nightmare, you'll need to prepare for a few things here as the fight is rather long if you do not have certain mods equipped. I highly recommend any form of damaging mods such as Breath of the Desert or Swarm for Nightmare because you will deal massive damage to him the moment you're back from getting your buff from the dark realm.

I did not have either of those mods available to me, so I played it more safe and you can do so as well if you do not have those mods that deals high damage.

What I did was simple, I swapped between Hot Shot and Mender's Aura for more Submachine Gun. The reason for this is because you get mod power so fast here that you have the opportunity to use more than 1 mod as your disposal. I used Hot Shot to deal more damage to Nightmare and switching to Mender's Aura at the end for the dark realm because it deals constant damage to you.

I also kept Beckon up so the moment Nightmare teleport me to the dark realm I summon 2 skulls immediately to keep up the pressure against the enemies.

I showed a few failed runs before my success run to show you what problems you can face here if you're not careful. This fight was longer than an hour which I had to record another video for its ending. You will see the end of the fight on Part 44, sorry for any inconvenience.
