Remotely Control Android from Another Android !
If you're looking to remotely control one Android phone using another Android device, this tutorial walks you through a complete step-by-step setup using the Droid Remote & File Access app, available on the Google Play Store. Whether you want to assist a friend, troubleshoot a family member’s device, or manage your own second phone remotely, this method is straightforward and requires no root access.
Start by installing the Droid Remote & File Access app from the Play Store on both Android devices—the one that will be controlled and the one doing the controlling. Once installed, open the app and accept any permissions or agreements prompted during setup. You'll then be asked to either sign in or create an account. You can sign up using your Google account or an email address. After entering your email, you’ll receive a verification code. Swipe down your notification bar to find the code, copy it, and paste it into the app to complete verification.
Once verified, proceed to allow all necessary permissions, including display over other apps, file access, and remote access permissions. These are crucial for the app to function properly. Repeat this entire process on the second Android device using the same account credentials.
After both devices are set up and linked to the same account, you’ll see the connected device's information appear in the app. From here, you can choose to activate remote control. If prompted, enter the activation code provided during setup to finalize the connection. Once activated, you'll be able to control the target Android device remotely from the other phone.
This setup is particularly useful for remote tech support, accessing files, or managing settings on a secondary phone.
