Removing a Stripped Screw on an LA Rock Cassette Player | Electronics Repair
I really want to learn how to replace the belt(s) on vintage cassette players. My very first time, I 6 by simply removing the back 3 screws but there was a bad stripped screw on this old LA Rock DSI cassette player — and it put up a serious fight. Here's a very small part of the process I went through to get it out and finally get the shell separated. Serious struggle with some background music because I wasn’t about to let y’all hear me say “F***” fifteen times. One of my biggest fights with electronics this year was a tiny baby screw on the world's cheapest portable cassette walkman. I heated up my soldering iron to 675 degrees, and honestly... hoped for the best. I inserted a gmat head for a new shape to form... twice. removed excess solder and prayed. This was a first for me.
Good vibes, busted screws, and vintage electronics. Subscribe if you're into cassette players, game console repair, or just chaotic tech projects or whatever.
