Repairing my backlit gaming keyboard - Serioux Radiant- success!!!
The camera stopped recording in the end. Long story short, I soldered the shielding/grounding to the proper place on the circuit board, assembled the thing and it worked.
NOTE: the original USB cable had no shielding.
