How to replace the Heater Core Hose Connector on a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The connector snapped, the plastic had degraded, as I was pulling into my driveway so I lost just under a gallon of coolant. The connector I purchased was a Dorman 800-409HP HVAC coolant connector (all metal). The total cost for the connector, quick release tool and a gallon of coolant was $65.00.
