In summary: in several situations, Walking Focus is used, it resets the focus level from the beginning, though not in all situations. This seems to run counter to general thrust of the Staff Evie changes in 3.18:
When using "Quick Step," "Flying Sparrow," or "Mana Amber" while using "Focus," and then using Focus again, the previously used Focus will now continue.
The video shows the combinations of:
-Walking Focus -▶︎ Stand still while focusing -▶︎ Hop forward -▶︎ Walking Focus
(hold RMB while executing: hold W until focus level 3 -▶︎ release W -▶︎ hit Space+W -▶︎ hold W)
-Walking Focus -▶︎ Stand -▶︎ Flying Sparrow -▶︎ Walking Focus
(hold RMB while executing: hold W until focus level 3 -▶︎ release W -▶︎ hit Space+W -▶︎ hold W and release then hit and hold RMB -▶︎ hold W)
-Stand -▶︎ Hop -▶︎ Walking Focus
(hold RMB while executing: wait until focus level 3 -▶︎ hit Space+W -▶︎ hold W)
-Stand still -▶︎ Flying Sparrow -▶︎ Walking Focus
(hold RMB while executing: wait until focus level 3 -▶︎ hit Space+W -▶︎ hold W and release then hit and hold RMB -▶︎ hold W)
These all have the same issue of the focus level during walking focus starting over from zero again. Also, though not in the video, this can also be seen simply with:
-Stand still -▶︎ Walking Focus
(hold RMB while executing: wait until focus level 3 -▶︎ hold W)
This will lose the focus level as the character begins moving when starting the transition from focus level 3 to 4.
There are two combinations where the focus level is maintained when starting walking focus:
-Walking Focus -▶︎ Hop -▶︎ Walking Focus
(hold RMB while executing: hold W -▶︎ continue holding W and hit Space -▶︎ continue holding W)
-Walking Focus -▶︎ Flying Sparrow -▶︎ Walking Focus
(hold RMB while executing: hold W -▶︎ continue holding W and hit Space -▶︎ continue holding W and release then hit and hold RMB -▶︎ continue holding W)
