Read description for more information:
This started off as a request from Stag019, as he wanted me to record obtaining the impossible hidden Nugget in the Safari Zone entrance. I decided to get the hidden Max Elixer in the non existing map 6F as well, which may have been a deleted map.

Hidden Nugget:

In the Safari Zone entrance in Red/Blue/Yellow, there is a hidden Nugget out of bounds of the map (the normal size of the map is so it is normally impossible to get it). This Nugget is located at x=0A, y=01 (x=10, y=1). This is outside of the actual map size. (8x6 tiles).

You may have known before that if you use your Itemfinder at the east-most walkable tile of the Safari Zone exit it will say there is an item. (video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1fI7ny0lg1Y) This is because it is indeed this Nugget.

With the item underflow glitch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4Yr2Nz4rFU), you can manipulate your x and y position by changing the quantity of item 34 (y position; the actual item is always an HM03 or HM04 here) and the identifier of item 35 (x position); so you can replace item 34 with a tossable item (swapping the HM03 with the item stack 4 items above the HM03 worked for me. I don't know off the top of my head what that item represents) and set its quantity to 1 (y=01), and then replace item 35 with an Antidote (x=0B), and then you should be able to obtain the Nugget by facing left and pressing A.

Note that in this video I used a Moon Stone x1 instead of an Antidote. Though it works, you may have to walk through walls one tile to the left using another glitch, so you should probably not bother with using a Moon Stone x1.

If you want to get the Nugget with cheats, without having to use item underflow, go to the Safari Zone entrance, enter the codes (Red/Blue): 010161D3 010B62D3 or (Yellow): 010160D3 010B61D3, face left, and then press A, and you should get the Nugget.

Hidden Max Elixer:
The hidden Max Elixer is found at x=0E y=0B (x=14. y=11) of map 6F.

Map 6F doesn't even exist and is actually a freezing/game resetting glitch map! But it may have been a real map at some point in the game's development with the Max Elixer.

Obtaining the hidden Max Elixer is a little harder. From a non-freezing location such as Cerulean Pokémon Center you have to first swap an item "-g" (hex:6F) into item 32 to change the current map to 6F (you can see observe the location changes to "Indigo Plateau" by viewing the Town Map).

The freeze for other maps is caused by the game keeping the old map's script pointer (RB: D36E/D36F Y:D36D/D36E) even if the new map is on a new bank; so the game could execute freezing code.

After you change the map to map 6F, swap an item x11 into item 34 (again this item will normally be a HM; HM04, preventing tossing) and then a Paralyze Heal into item 35, then face left, press A to get the Max Elixer.

If you keep the GameShark codes (Red/Blue) 017A6ED3 01006FD3 016F5ED3 010B61D3 010F62D3 or (Yellow): 017A6DD3 01006ED3 016F5DD3 010B60D3 010F61D3 on before and after choosing Continue, you can also get the Max Elixer by pressing A while facing left.

Stag019 believes that the map 9C (Safari Zone entrance) was originally not the Safari Zone entrance and the Nugget was a planned (obtainable) hidden item.

This theory of changed maps in development is supported by the unused Celadon house warp having data to go into the fifth floor of the Celadon Department Store.
