Artificial intelligence (AI) applications are booming in the Healthcare industry—in research and development (R&D), pre-diagnosis, clinical practice, and disease management. Some examples of their use in R&D include virtual clinical trials, identifying biomarkers, and creating knowledge graphs. For pre-diagnosis and clinical practice, AI applications are being used in clinical decision support systems (CDSS), diabetes management programs, and digital therapeutics (DTx). Meanwhile, the internet hospital model is becoming a new treatment journey for patients, and there is great potential for AI application in this space. In this talk, we’ll give a brief introduction to the variety of ways AI applications are being used in the Healthcare industry.
