0Claire manages to acquire the dose of an anti-viral agent meant to cure Sherry's G-Virus infection. As she heads back to administer it, she is attacked by the G-Virus creature that infected Sherry. It is stopped by Anette who manages to subdue the creature by attacking it with acid grenade rounds before revealing the truth to Claire; The creature is in fact her husband and Sherry's father, William who injected himself with the last remaining dose of the G-Virus shortly after being shot by Umbrella's mercenaries, intending to stop them from escaping, consequently causing the T-Virus outbreak within Raccoon City due to virus being among stolen samples that were destroyed by mutated William during the massacre that ensued once he caught up with the mercenaries, causing the infected rats to spread it into the local water supply. As she learns of this, Claire witnesses William undergoing another mutation before he attacks Anette, causing her grave injuries. As the result, Claire hands her the antiviral agent to give to Sherry while she stays behind to fend off William, managing to bring him down once again. As she returns to the security room, Claire finds out that the treatment worked and that Sherry is free of the G-Virus, but it also becomes clear that Anette's injuries were fatal as she dies, using last of her strength to give Claire her own clearance chip in order to let her use the emergency elevator leading into the underground train station as NEST undergoes self-destruct sequence due to hidden sample of the G-Virus being removed from the building, forcing the two to hurry...
