Welcome to the scenic Raccoon City sewer system. Large enough to drive a fucking bus through, these sewers connect the police station to the secret lab because I don't know why. The game implies that Umbrella took over the design, construction, and maintenance of the infrastructure of the city's water system. Once they had control they staffed the sewer proper with Umbrella employees to monitor the coming and goings of staff and material, which is why the sewers are so goddamn big. But at no point is there a reason given that the walkways through the sewers are also part of the water throughput, which means that scientists would be lugging their fucking stupid viruses and whatnot through the city's waste and rainwater disposal thoroughfare. Yeah the wolf and eagle medals will turn the water off but come ON man, that's begging for biohazardous residue to be left on the floor when the water is off and be picked up when it's turned back on again. I fucking hate Umbrella's goddamn infrastructure oversight, it's a goddamn miracle that it took a bungled act of corporate espionage by a lunatic moron to cause a materials leak.
