Resident Evil 3: Nemesis Part 10 - From the Top Ep 59
0Resident Evil 3: Nemesis has a weird disconnect in its different thirds. In most RE games up to 4 there's a three act arc (intro-exploration-ending). Generally the formula is "The hero is put in a bad situation with no information", goes into "the hero explores the area, kills bosses, gets keys, and finds files", and ends with "the hero solves puzzles to get to the final boss". More often than not these are also discrete unto the areas of the game. In RE 0 it's train-facility-lab, in RE 1 it's mansion-forest/residence-lab, and in RE 2 it's city-sewers-lab. RE 3 on the other hand, splits the second act between Jill and Carlos, with Jill handling acts 1 and 3 by herself. It's a strange faltering of pace that becomes the norm in the future (Claire and Chris swapping protagonist duty in CV, Ashley taking over for Leon in 4). This seems to have become accepted protocol over the course of the series, culminating in the standard two-protagonist system in 5 and 6.
This episode covers the final Raccoon City Nemesis fight, the first Gravedigger fight, collecting the trolley maintenance note, and getting out of downtown.
