If you throw a flash bang at the right moment (just as Mr X drops his arm after lifting the helicopter) you will still be in the flash bang 'shock' animation when Mr X attempts to hit you, which makes his attack go right through you! Saving quite a bit of time on speed runs. Or if you prefer, just flash bang him normally - still saves time, if not as much as the shock animation skip.
