In the first episode of Resident Evil 4 (the 2023 remake version), we play once again as Leon S. Kennedy, now on a secret mission to a remote rural location to Spain in order to find and retrieve the kidnapped daughter of the U.S. President. Things predictably go bad right from the start, as Leon's Spanish colleagues are assassinated by a group of clearly possessed villagers, and Leon himself must fight for his survival among crowds of vicious "Ganados", armed with knives, axes, pitchforks, and even chainsaws. The only thing that can stop them dead in their tracks, so it seems, is the church bell...
