In the original Resident Evil 4, Luis Serra's death occurs in the final chapter, Lucis, at Salazar's Castle. Saddler impales Luis, fatally wounding him. The Resident Evil Wiki states that Serra was able to destroy the Plaga egg injected within him before it hatched, but Saddler's impalement is the cause of death.
