I wasn't expecting much from Separate Ways. A short little romp similar to the original Separate Ways.
What we ended up with was a well-fleshed-out DLC with plenty of love and care put into it. It's far longer than I was expecting, and it's all well-paced and executed. They did a great job of reusing old areas with new stretches. They added in many moments that were missing from the base game that were present in the original. Done so in a way that fit with what they designed.
It puts the DLC for Village to shame and feels more complete and content-rich than the Remake of 3. It's a great endpoint to the remake of 4, and what I was hoping to be the end of the Remake saga of Resident Evil.
Of course, there seems to be no stop to the remake train, but that's another story. Let's talk about this one first.
