Resident Evil 4 : VR Mode - Psvr2 Gameplay
0This was a Christmas present from the mrs that I have been massively looking forward to playing but didn’t want to jump straight into seeing as I completed RE:Village in Vr in less than a week, so it got put on the back burner while I tried a few other game but now was the time to boot it up and see if it lives up to the hype…
…And It most definetly does.
A truely great game. The story we all know it’s the same as it was years ago and it’s a great story but I’m here to talk about the VR.
To start with graphically it looks amazing, the villagers all look very detailed and angry whilst chasing you with pitchforks and axes. Then there the chainsaw guys 😮💨 Maaaaan they are scary as hell. This game is just plain creepy when its not even trying to be. Just simply walking though the woods in the pitch black is terrifying, the game has great atmosphere.
Gun play is great, its pretty much the same as Village but with the Melee inclusion which I won’t lie I don’t really like, it kinda goes like the cut scenes (into flatscreen) and then back when the melee is done and you have no control over it..
Now here’s the thing and I know a lot of people think the opposite but out of the 2, RE:Village is the much better VR experience. Not to take anything away from RE4 because it truely is one of the highlights on the Psvr2 but if I had to chose it was be Village over 4 all day every day.

The Resident Evil games on Psvr2 Are truely stunning and the pinnacle (so far) of VR gaming. I cannot wait for what triple AAA titles Sony release next year if this is anything to go by..
