So I finally got around to testing a few more modes on Resident Evil 8 for MAC. This time we tried playing the game with "low power mode" enabled and also lowering resolution to 900p. It turns out to be not such a bad experience if you're not near a power source. Frame rate will drop, however you can still get away with 30fps at 900p. In addition, you avoid thermal throttling with the rest of benefits which a cooler MacBook Air profits from.
Also, we tested playing the game at 1600x900 with MetalFX Upscaling set to Quality. In this case the game was pretty stable at around 60fps while delivering a much smoother experience. However, temperatures do go up.
Later on we tried to play FIFA 14 for PlayStation 3 on the RPCS3 Emulator, but EA games in general are still not working. On the other hand, we tested Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 which ran perfectly fine. Even after throttling the game was still performing at 60 fps.
We also tested FIFA World Cup 2006 and FIFA 2009 on the PlayStation 2 with the AetherSX2 Emulator which ran without issues at 1440p 60fps. Both looked very sharp. Great experience.

Today we will be testing many games that don't render properly on the base model M1 MacBook Air, for whatever reason, the emulation can't offer us a decent gameplay experience. We will go through these games, highlighting the issues and keeping an eye out on them for when future updates come to the PS3 emulation on the Mac.
