Resident Evil Director's Cut Jill Walkthrough Part 1 - PS1 - Cast Intro! Chris' Blood / Gameplay
Resident Evil 1 - the Playstation One Classic is the last game of the classic Resident Evil titles I have yet to complete! But Resident Evil is my favourite horror franchise, so I can't allow that injustice continue. Resident Evil Director's Cut is the hardest RE game yet, but this PS1 legend will need more than slow moving zombies to beat me!
This video is the intro to the game where Barry Burton and Jill Valentine team up to solve the mystery of Spencer's Mansion and find fellow S.T.A.R.S members Chris and Wesker.
Forgive the ugly wall. I hadn't painted it yet. Anyway. Resident Evil 1 turned out to possibly be my favourite Resident Evil title. Along side OG Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and Resident Evil 4. I can't get enough of this horror beauty. From Jill's gameplay with the grenade launcher and conversations with Barry. To Chris Redfield rescuing Rebecca from Hunters and beginning his feud with Albert Wesker. The memories created from RE1, and the continued endless replays that I have since gone through over the years since this video was posted have taught me that Resident Evil is my favourite place in the gaming world to visit. The first three original Playstation games and RE4 all connect beautifully with me as a person. They are all my go to when I need to relax and let the real world disappear for awhile.
These days I like to play RE1 without saves and aiming for an A Rank. It's the best way to experience the survival horror world, in my opinion. Of course game length is important. RE1 being a perfect length where having to reset upon a Hunter removing Jill Valentine's head doesn't set you back like it would in Code Veronica. The Resident Evil games 1 through RE4 also make for great downtime streams where I can talk to chat and have a good conversation. so they get replayed often on the long nights when I just want to shut my brain down.

Resident Evil originally released in 1996 for the PlayStation and has been subsequently ported to the Sega Saturn and PC, then re-released twice on the PlayStation in the form of a Director's Cut.
Resident Evil is an action, adventure, horror fiction video game based media franchise created by Shinji Mikami and owned by the video game company Capcom. The franchise focuses around a series of survival horror video games, but has since branched out into comic books, novels and novelizations, sound dramas, a series of live-action films and animated sequels to the games, and a variety of associated merchandise, such as action figures. The overarching plot of the series focuses on multiple characters and their roles in recurring outbreaks of zombies and other monsters, initially due to the release of the T-virus, a biological weapon created by the fictional Umbrella Corporation.
The eponymous first game in the series was released in 1996 as a survival horror video game, but the franchise has since grown to encompass other video game genres. The series is a mix of action and horror film-inspired plotlines, exploration and puzzle solving, but from Resident Evil 4 onwards, the main series took a more third-person shooter approach with fewer puzzles and greater emphasis on gunplay and weapons upgrading. As of 2015, the video game series has sold 61 million units worldwide. It has become Capcom's biggest ever franchise in terms of sales and marked the start of the "survival horror" genre, which was already influenced by earlier efforts such as Sweet Home (also by Capcom) and the Alone in the Dark series.
