Resident Evil Revelations! A Ghostly Cruise Vacation - PC (Part 2 of 2)
Finally, I've made it to Resident Evil Revelations. I've been wanting to play this for so long now; no more weird umbrella spin-offs, lol. So Capcom once again wanted to return to their roots of survival horror, and this plays in a more "traditional" way in a sense. You play mainly Jill, but there are a bunch of other characters too, including Chris. This was made during that weird time of "episodic" content and was originally released on the 3DS, so each chapter is bite-sized and ends with story cliffhangers. The setting is really cool; it takes place on a creepy ship where you try to unravel the mystery of what happened onboard. The gameplay is slower with more exploration, and there is a cool weapon perk system that gives some cool choices. Really cool looking enemies too. There's this annoying scanner you get called the Genesis, where you can find hidden items or even heal by scanning enemies. I'm not a fan since it just slows down the game to a crawl by double-checking everything. The game restricts you from hoarding ammo by having a cap limit, but you can raise it later on, you also can dodge attacks. There are a ton of cutscenes, and you bounce all over the place with each episode. It gets a little disjointed because of it, but I had a blast playing this, and the extra raid mode is really robust. It looks super fun to play with a friend. This is Part 2 of our playthrough.
