Resident Evil Village (Longplay Part 1)
Part 1 of my Resident Evil Village playthrough.

That being said, this is a very fun game if you can stomach it.
HELLO! And welcome to the first part of my Resident Evil Village playthrough! With the release of Resident Evil 4 and me trying not to pony up money for a game I shouldn't buy right now (with some irony that I bought the new Tears of the Kingdom instantly), I went to another game in my library that I never got around to finishing, Resident Evil Village.
I was on a sort of a Resident Evil binge few years back, playing through 2, 3, 7, and Village. By the time I got to this, I burned out and never finished it. To sate my Resident Evil 4 thirst, I came back to Village to finish it and do achievement hunting. I had played through the game several times before I decided "Y'know what? Let's do a session for my channel."
And here we are. More confident with playing these kinds of games than when I did my RE2 playthrough, which that was on the easiest difficulty. This is standard and while I did do playthroughs with the highest difficulty mode, you get to keep the equipment and upgrades from previous playthroughs, making even the hardest mode a cakewalk in comparison. Without the upgrades, harder difficulties are just frustratingly too difficult. But a vanilla standard mode is the right balance of gear and difficulty.
And check it! It's 4K! Certainly a step up from the RE2 playthrough, eh? That was kinda all stuttery because I was using OBS to record, which I do not recommend for PC recording unless you have a separate PC for that specific purpose. Otherwise, using Nvidia's built-in Shadowplay uses significantly less resources to record, the process is almost entirely flawless, save for the audio desync. But protip: Just unlike the audio and video and just every half hour or so, shave off 5 frames worth of audio and it helps keep everything in check. At least, if you're recording at 60 FPS. If you're doing 30, I dunno. Maybe 2-3 frames every half hour? Never tried, never tested.
Anyhoo, I'll catch you guys around! After this, we're revisiting Hollow Knight, where I won't be chickening out of the much greater challenges the game has to offer! Honest. I already finished recording. The deed is done.
