Retro and Reminisce // Annihilating SNES' Super PunchOut!! [Pattern Exploits]
We all have out "Top Lists" including the default "Top 10" of Games, Consoles, etc. Super NES is easily my favorite Console of all time (followed by PlayStation and then DreamCast). And those Consoles have my personal top 10 Lists within.
For context, my #1 PlayStation Game is Metal Gear Solid. DreamCast's #1 is Soul Calibur. I'll leave it at that as I can easily write a thesis on my Top 10s.
Super PunchOut!! seems to always sneak it's way in. I.E. someone will ask me "Hey Sai, what's your Top 10 SNES List??" I'll recite which Games are in it and eventually be like "Oh yeah, I forgot about Super PunchOut!!"
29 Years later, Super PunchOut!! still plays like a dream and is STILL highly enjoyable and infinitely satisfying. As I was saying during today's Broadcast, this is one of those Games that you can either enjoy in a brisk 45 minute sitting, or an in-depth hours long session where you can nitpick and break patterns apart to the point of perfection. Not too many Retro Games have this appeal; I'd go as far as saying Super PunchOut is THE textbook example of this.
Yeah, the SNES is special. I always argue internally about how heated my #1 spot is between PlayStation and SNES...
Enjoy today's Broadcast where I warm up and blast through the in-depth AI's Patterns.
