Retro Collecting 101 - What Consoles Should I Buy?
25Welcome back to Retro Collecting 101! I had intended the series to end after the first four episodes, but I've been asked to do some more episodes and who am I to argue with that?
A young viewer recently asked me what consoles they should buy to get into retro collecting. This is a subjective thing as certain systems excel at particular genres, which may or may not appeal to everyone. Please bear in mind that I have tried to address this question so that the answer applies to as many people as possible. Naturally I am biased by my own opinions and preferences so that should be taken into consideration as well!
With that said it's time to take a journey from the Atari era of late seventies up to the PS2 days. I've only spent a short amount of time on each system since there was so much to cover. In future I will probably do more in depth looks at many of the systems discussed in this video.
