In this episode of Retro Flashback, I take a look at The Legendary Axe for the TurboGrafx-16. A launch game for the system from a relatively unknown third-party developer, this boasted high production values, a great soundtrack and a focus on levelling and mastering use of a single weapon as opposed to juggling several. Like many games for the system, this was underappreciated and led to some questionable decisions for its sequel which we'll be talking about next episode.
