More testing of gaming rigs I am building, where I would like each device to be played very quickly without any wiring and also to be able to capture footage where possible with just a few switches turned on. The point of these videos is to see how this type of set up can be done with different devices and maybe help anyone else trying to do a similar thing with a mix of old and new hardware.

With my PS3 devices numbering 4 now, (3 different versions and only 3 are working currently) but having only 1 converter that I can use to capture, I decided to try and get another HDMI convertor. The one I have been using so far was great but not available easily anymore, so I searched for another type that would work some time ago. So, a long overdue quick test with another PS3 Slim console that I picked up cheap with one of the Ezcoo HDCP HDMI splitters that I purchased last year. The console is a different model number to my previous PS3 Slim tested. It seems to work, although some games did make the screen go black on the capture. The HDMI convertor has a number of switches and settings so I will look at some more testing videos from other people to learn more, but it does look like another option that could work well.

Console: Original Sony PlayStation 3 slim version.
Model: CECH-2503A
Display: Samsung Model UE40H6500ST
Convertor: Ezcoo 4K60 HDMI scaler splitter
HDMI Splitter: Not used for this test.
Capture: Elgato HD60S
Game Title: Original game discs of Wipeout HD Fury and Time Crisis 4
