Retro Gaming Capture Test 41 Part 1 | Sega Mega CD
More testing of gaming rigs I am building, where I would like each device to be played very quickly without any wiring and also to be able to capture footage where possible with just a few switches turned on. The point of these videos is to see how this type of set up can be done with different devices and maybe help anyone else trying to do a similar thing with a mix of old and new hardware.
Back again with a Sega Mega Drive device, this time with my first Mega CD, I had wanted to get a working unit like this for quite some time and I also picked up a convertor cartridge and another Mega Drive at the same time. With the convertor cartridge I can test out imported discs, starting with just a Sega CD disc for now that I have as well as a few of my Mega CD's also. Starting with the cheapest HDMI convertor I own for now and happy to see that every new device and game is working. I don't expect great results from the cheap convertor and it will most likely produce variable amounts of lag, but it works ok and is a good starting point. Onto the next convertor soon.
