Retro Gaming Capture Test 5 Part 2 | Super Nintendo Entertainment System-Hyperkin Retron 5
More testing of gaming rigs I am building, where I would like each device to be played very quickly without any wiring and also to be able to capture footage where possible with just a few switches turned on. The point of these videos is to see how this type of set up can be done with different devices and maybe help anyone else trying to do a similar thing with a mix of old and new hardware.
A new device to play several different types of games. SNES or Super Nintendo Entertainment System option 2 for me so far. Picture and sound seems reasonable for an emulation device and I did not notice too much lag, as I had heard quite a few negative comments about this device my expectations were fairly low but I am reasonably happy with the first test. On to other games and platforms soon. No obvious problems using my HDMI splitters and capture either, although the first capture did seem to have some problem with the speed of both the image and sound, a second capture did not have a problem though, I think it was just setting change in Elgato that was needed and further captures should be ok from now on.
