Retro Gaming Capture Test 7 Part 4 | Sega Megadrive-Mega SG
More testing of gaming rigs I am building, where I would like each device to be played very quickly without any wiring and also to be able to capture footage where possible with just a few switches turned on. The point of these videos is to see how this type of set up can be done with different devices and maybe help anyone else trying to do a similar thing with a mix of old and new hardware.
Back with the Mega Drive games for a fourth time for this video. Another addition to my collection with another Analogue device that has been around for a while but is quite expensive and very limited in numbers, but has been reported to give very good results, and what should be a great option for playing original Sega games, starting with the Mega Drive, then onto some others later with some adapters. As a hardware emulation FPGA device I expect good results. To start with, a quick look through the settings on the device as it is sold today, then on to some gameplay to see how it plays and can be captured from 1 game built into the device and 4 other Pal cartridges picked at random from my collection. Later I can experiment with the device for some gameplay of new games with optimised settings.
