Retro Hunting Adventures! 5 Neo Geo Pocket Color Import Games
6Usually when I do the "five imports" for a Retro Hunting Adventures episode, I like to share games that you can play even if you don't know Japanese. Sadly for me the import games I own for Neo Geo Pocket Color are HEAVILY Japanese save for two -- Cool Boarder and Puzzle Link, and of the two I can only recommend Puzzle Link. The Cool Boarder franchise on PlayStation is a lot of fun, but on NGPC the controls are stiff and you can't avoid walls let alone dogs and bears who are just wandering around the course, and when it comes to jumping a chasm FUGGEDABOUTIT. At least with Puzzle Link you can make progress. It's a combination of a Pipe Mania style came with a shooter, and you link the pipes together by shooting until the blocks form one solid pipe connecting two colors, at which point they all explode and vanish.
