It may be spelled the same way but it's pronounced in completely different ways. Bass is the thing you can in fishing, such as in the Super Famicom games I play here, Larry Nixon's Super Bass Fishing and Super Black Bass 2. When he is in Rockman or Mega Man games though, he's pronounced BASE because that Bass is a reference to music - bass instruments, bass tenor singers, et cetera. Do not call him bassssss like he's a FISH!!
