0And here is the second game in the X-COM series , Terror From The Deep.
This one is not an actual sequel, but more of a re-skin with some changes to make it appear different from the first game.
Not that i am complaining, because some of the changes were indeed improvements over the first game.
And the aquatic theme sort of is more creepy than the land-based theme of the first game.
This game shows in its intro one of the first real cgi uses in computergame intro's from the era.
Also this game would benefit from being played with a playstation mouse , but since this was recorded from a PS3 that was not an option... shame. . i do have two psx mice :-)
like the first game, this is a splendid example of base-building, exploration, and turn-based combat that even today is a testament to the creative spark of the Gollop Brothers and Mythos Games
