Iaquer e Logatirde tornano su Double Dragon per affrontare il secondo, tragico (ma non fantozzianamente) capitolo della serie, noto anche per le dinamiche di gioco in stile "Renegade": oltre al pulsante del salto, infatti, non sono più presenti un pulsante per i pugni e uno per i calci, bensì un pulsante per attaccare alla sinistra dello schermo e uno per attaccare a destra, con le combo che varieranno in base alla posizione del giocatore.
