RetroRobby Reviews the Original Duke Nukem: A Classic 90's MS-DOS Game (Episode 6)
Here is episode 6 of RetroRobby Reviews and in this one we are going to take a look at the original Duke Nukem. I would also like to apologize for this video taking a long time to come up. There was a lot to work with this epsidoe and also I had some personal issues that needed to be addressed. Its all taken care of but its the reason why this video was held back for a little bit.
Duke Nukem is a 1991 platform game developed and published by Apogee Software for MS-DOS. The 2D, multidirectional scrolling game follows the adventures of fictional character Duke Nukem across three episodes of ten levels each. The game's first episode was distributed as shareware. The name was briefly changed to Duke Nukum to avoid trademark issues.
There is also an open source Duke Nukem like game that you can download for free and I didn't know about this one until recently. Here is the link to the website where you can read more info about it and download - https://djoffe.com/gnukem/
Also if you would like to play the original shareware games then they are available here - https://dnr.duke4.net/shareware.php.html
