RetroTink 2X-Mini Test Footage
So far I'm pretty happy with my RetroTink. All footage here was recorded on original hardware through S-Video. I will say that the $80 price tag is a tad high seeing as you'd get better picture by just connecting your console directly to your TV. But, as a capture tool, it is definitely a quality product. I would highly recommend this to all who can afford it and am happy with the results. Unfortunately NES and Genesis don't really look any better when being run through the RetroTink. The Genesis just looks bad in general (unless using RGB), but the NES somehow looks worse when being run through the RetroTink than if you just use one of those cheap garbage Amazon converters. Its quite strange. But, other than that, I am very happy with this product. It degrades the video signal significantly, but its a heck of a lot better than most of those popular junk converters out there (like the Tensun one). The filters also help make certain systems look better and can hide a lot of jaggys. It's not perfect, but it'll get you by. Overall, I'm satisfied!
