1It's all come down to this. Sure, way back in 1990, we all just assumed The Secret of Monkey Island was just a catchy title and that the actual Secret wasn't all that important. You know, like how Grim Fandango wasn't really about a lively Spanish dance. Or how nobody actually dug The Dig. Heck, I always just assumed The Secret of Monkey Island was simply the fact that it could only be reached using a mysterious voodoo recipe.
Sometime in the intervening years, though, I guess uncovering The Secret has become the MAIN THING about the Monkey Island franchise. So here we go! In this episode, Guybrush finally learns the true Secret of Monkey Island. They already had a chance to get this right way back in LeChuck's Revenge. Surely they wouldn't make the same mistake twice...would they?
