Howdy! We want to thank our players for taking the time to give us feedback on their first impression of The Foglands! We’ve been hard at work on patches and are excited to report our ‘Quality of Life’ patch is live!
This patch introduces a number of game feel, UI/UX, and bug fixes that we hope will make your experience exploring The Foglands much easier and less frustrating. Some key highlights included:
Performance Improvements for both Quest 2 and 3!
Picking up items is TONS easier!
More custom settings for VR Mode have been added!
Ammo auto collects!
Door colors updated to signify locked vs active doors from far away!
QoL Fixes
General Performance Improvements for both Quest 2 and 3.
Optional toggle to sprint setting for VR mode.
Improved item pickup to include point and palm-first hand orientation.
Adjusted ammo collection to be automatic based on proximity.
Adjusted smooth rotation defaults to be much quicker.
Added setting to turn on grip toggle for just weapons.
Adjusted menus and subtitles so that they are easier to read.
Added save file difficulty type to save slot UI.
Updated door colors to clearly depict locked doors for better readability from far away.
Updated door colors to differentiate between Runner Map rooms and standard rooms.
Translations added for new settings.
Made it so grenades explode on contact with enemies if primed and thrown by the player.
Made bullet speed faster for the Vulture and Mustang.
Content Updates
Added more scrap for players to find and made it more valuable.
Made it so available vendor items are more varied.
Added emissives to loot chests so they are easier to spot.
Updated set dressing in Elder Foglander Arena.
Updated level flows to use proper airlocks.
Bug Fixes
Fixed issue with Elder Foglander stopping attacks mid-fight.
Fixed issue with Elder Foglander jumping away from player mid-fight.
Fixed issue with players getting impaled and stuck in ground during Elder Boss fight.
Fixed issue with popping LOD’s in tutorial environment.
Fixed issue with vendor prompts not popping up after dialogues.
Fixed issues with doors not opening immediately after dialogues.
Fixed issue with settings not saving on a save slot when they are changed in game.
Fixed issue with the ‘Opulence’ ability card FX persisting.
Fixed issue with Hub lighting.
Fixed issue with inaccessible runner key in ‘Three Paths’
