Returning to World of Warcraft After 18 Years | Part 1: Exile's Reach
Once upon a time, nearly 20 years ago, I was a hardcore World of Warcraft player. Then, I quit cold turkey right before The Burning Crusade expansion launched. I haven't returned to World of Warcraft since vanilla...until now!
That's right, I'm jumping back into World of Warcraft to see what it's like to grind my way to level 20 after almost 20 years away from the game. I'm playing as a night elf warlock named Mookelwynrin — easily the greatest randomly generated character name ever.
In this first episode, I'll explore Exile's Reach — the game's new(ish) starting zone — and tackle my first dungeon, Darkmaul Citadel. Along the way, Mookelwynrin makes it all the way to level 11, which I'm pretty sure took a lot longer back in the mid-2000s. Welcome to the War Within, I guess!
Be sure to like and subscribe to Mookelwynrin's future adventure, and leave a comment sharing some of your favorite WoW experiences!

ABOUT ME
I'm Jess (he/him), a lifelong gamer and retro variety streamer from West Virginia, USA. I mostly play adventure games from the '80s and '90s (think King's Quest and Monkey Island), but I also stream newer titles, bad licensed games, and other random stuff that grabs my attention. Lately, I've been obsessed with catching up on the Zelda series. I stream on Twitch every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday night around 9:30 p.m. Eastern. Drop by and join the fun sometime!
