7Odoo 18 isn't officially released yet but information from the roadmap suggests there will be a revamped product view focusing on improved usability. Here's what we can expect:
Simpler Terminology: Labels like "Can be Sold" and "Can be Purchased", recurring are replaced with clearer terms like "Sales" and "Purchase", subscription for better user understanding and Point of sale is added.
Streamlined Product Type: Instead of specifying consumable or service, Odoo 18 might introduce a more intuitive product type selection process. such as goods ,service and combo.
Inventory tracking based on quantity is introduced.
customer tax and vendor tax is replaced with sales tax and purchase tax.
sales uom and purchase uom is replaced and rearranged as units dropdown list for sales uom and vendor unit.
