Reversi is a strategy board game for two players, played on an 8x8 uncheckered board. It's also widely known by the trademarked name Othello. The game uses pieces that are light on one side and dark on the other. The objective of Reversi is to have the majority of disks turned to display your color when the last playable empty square is filled.
The game begins with four disks placed in the middle of the board in a square pattern: two disks with the light side up and two with the dark side up, diagonal from one another. Players alternate turns, placing a disk on the board with their assigned color facing up.
